Destination Option to Medina

If the pilgrim (Haji) coming outside from the Saudi Arabia for hajj i.e. coming from other country, it is possible that his/her destination might be Medina.

However, the ruling is different regarding hajj if you are landing to Medina instead of Mecca. If you destination from your country is Medina Munawarah, you have to perform Hajj al-Tamatt’u, which is performing Umrah and Hajj together.

As for the details regarding Hajj Tamattu, we’ve already discussed it previously, however, in short, the Ihram you will be assuming on or before Miqat is only for Umrah and you have to perform Umrah first. After then, you as pilgrim (Haji) can sleep in your regular or ordinary clothes and on 8 Zil-Hajj.

Ihram towel will be available easily in Medina, you can buy it. Your Miqat for Umrah will Dhul Hulayfah, i.e. Abyar Ali if you are staring from Medina. After assuming Ihram in Dhul Hulayfah, you have to go to Mecca to perform Umra, then Hajj.
