Muslim Religion is Islam, as follower of religion Islam is called Muslim. Both words 'Islam and Muslim' came from the same 3 letter root word (s,l and m) in Arabic i.e. SLM. Islam by definition means surrender and submission only to the one true creator (Allah SWT), where, a Muslim by definition means one who surrenders and submits to the laws of the creator (Allah SWT).

The followers of Islam are second largest in world population in numbers comparative to other people who are following any religion. Where, Muslim Religion, which is Islam, is estimated as fastest growing religion on the face of earth. It is estimated that if Islam keep growing like this till 2020, Islam will be the largest in population which has its follower i.e. Muslims.

Muslim Religion, which is Islam, also referred to be a religion of peace, as the word’s basis are from slim which also makes the word ‘Salamti’ i.e. peace. And the teachings of Islam are also direct towards this definition as Islam is sent of beloved Prophet Muhammad SAWW for the welfare of humanity, welfare for both, this world and here after.

So whatever you define, Muslim religion is Islam and the basis of both words is same, to submit and submission, to surrender and surrender. Thus, Islam is religion of peace which required submission to Allah SWT so that peace could prevail and the one who agrees to submit or surrender is called Muslim, resultantly, Muslims religion is Islam.
