 effect Qiyamullail

The universe is made to follow the rule of cause and effect. Hence every cause has an effect good or bad. So how come it possible that establishing of Qiyamul-lail will not have any effect on individual and the society. Indeed, both effect can be observes while interection with whom used to perform prayers at night regularly i.e. after having deep sleep after Ishah and before Fajr.

At an individual level, Qiyamullail grants one inner-happiness, invisible and unexplainable tranquility and coolness. One’s heart becomes light, and hence, they become forgiving. this can be understood in the Hadeeth of Rasulillah, as narrated by Sayyidina Abu Hurairah r.a. and authenticated by Imam(s) Al-Bukhari and Muslim, in which Prophet Muhammad SAWW said,

“When any one of you sleeps, Satan ties three knots at the back of his neck. He recites this incantation at every knot: ‘You have a long night, so sleep.’ If he awakes and remembers Allah, one knot is loosened. If he performs Wudhu’, the (second) knot is loosened; and if he performs Solat, (all) knots are loosened. He begins his morning in a happy and refreshed mood; otherwise, he gets up in bad spirits and sluggish state.”

Hadith of our beloved Prophet SAWW explains the effect of night prayer ‘qiyam ul layl’ in a very comprehensive manner. As we know, the real happiness of one who believes in Allah is not in sin or doing those things/actions which has nothing to do with the pleasure of Allah. Infect, he/she will feel happiness by doing those action by which he/she can get the pleasure of Allah. As Allah says in the Holy Quran,

“The satisfaction of heart for people is only in the Zikr (Dhikr) of Allah”
