How to Perform Qiyamullail?

By observing the Sunnah and way of the Prophet Muhammad Rasool Allah SAWW, we can see that Prophet SAWW used to pray Qiyamul lail in pairs of Raka’ahs; two Raka’ahs, after another. And he SAWW carries on performing pair and ends the pairs with an odd number of his SAWW qiyam ul layl.

As a hadith narrated by Abdullah Ibn Umar R.A and authenticated by Imam Muslim,

“Rasulullah s.a.w. performed the night prayer in pairs (two Raka’ahs after another) and ended it with an odd number by observing one Raka’ah (as witr).

This is the method to perform Qiyamullail (Standing for the prayer at night) authenticated by the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAWW. In our coming articles, we shall explain more about Qiyamullail like how many Raka’ahs can be done during one night for Qiyamul lail etc.
