Exceptional Permissions Regarding Stoning

The Pilgrim (Haji) during Pilgrimage (Hajj) are bound to stay overnight in Mina as one of the hajj rituals (Manasik Hajj), however, there are some exceptions in which the pilgrims (Hajis) can get relaxation not to stay there overnight.

Here we will discuss one by one the exceptions of not to stay in Mina overnight while Pilgrimage to Mecca, which are the reasons excluded from text of Islamic Jurisprudence and practical experiences of the people of wisdom and those who have experience regarding exposure of Mecca, Medina and whole of the Hijaz such as different tour agents, traveling agencies, the worker of companies providing different hajj packages of every coming year, i.e. hajj 2014 and hajj 2015 etc.

Regarding stoning, the following is allowed to those who have a valid excuse:
You as pilgrim (Haji) are not bound to have a stay overnight in Mina in some cases as according to the hadith of Ibn ‘Umar,
 

“Al ‘Abbas sought permission of the prophet of Allah to spend the night of Mina in Mecca as he was responsible for supplying Zamzam water there, so he gave him the permission.”


You are also allowed tTo combine two days' stoning in one day if facing practical reason, according to the hadith of ‘Asim ibn ‘Adiyy who said,
 

“The prophet of Allah made concession for the camel drivers in Bairutah that they could stone on the Day of Sacrifice, the combine two days' stoning after that - performing it in one of the two days.”


Thirdly and finally, you as pilgrim (haji) is allowed to perform the stoning at night also as there would be less rush of people (Pilgrims) comparatively resulting less chance to accidence, as the Prophet SAAW said,
 

“The shepherd may stone at night, then look after his flock in the daytime.”
