The Five Pillars of Islam - Islamic Guide on Fundamental Pillar in Islam

The five pillars mostly referred to the Five Pillars of Islam which are namely Shahadah, Salah, Zakat, Sawm, and the Hajj similar to witness, prayer, charity, fasting, and pilgrimage to Mecca respectively. About five pillars of Islam, some of the details are given below.

The five pillars of Islam are considered as the foundation of Islamic religion or believe, which implies a person cannot be a Muslim unless he has firm belief on these five pillars and use to implement them in his/her life. And without these foundations, the building of Islam like other rituals and duties are useless and cannot be built.

In short, the five pillars namely Shahadah, Salah, Zakat, Sawm, and Hajj can be describe as fundamental pillars of Islam, where Shahadah (Witnessing) is faith or belief in the Oneness of Allah SWT and the finality of the Prophethood of Muhammad SAWW. Salah is referred to establishment of the daily prayers which are perform five times a day as obligatory at Fajr, Zohr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha timings along with the Deen as whole to implement in all the aspects of life, individually and collectively.

Zakat is a collection of money from the wealthy people of society in a specific proportion to distribute it in needy people, or concern for and almsgiving to the needy. Sawm is referred to self-purification through fasting in the holy month of Ramadan. And finally the Hajj, a Pilgrimage to Mecca, the pilgrimage to Makkah is obligatory for those who are able.
