How to Perform Salat (Salah) for Women - Namaz Guide

  1. While Saying “Takbeer” men raise their hands to their ears while women raise their hands up to their shoulders.

  2. Similarly women place their hands on their chest while standing in ‘Qayam’ likewise men place their hands on the navel.

  3. The method of placing hands in ‘Qayam’ for women is “put right hand on left hand and put your fingers closely packed with each other”. On the other hand men grasp left hand by their right hand with their thumb and little finger and placing other three fingers in left hand closely packed with each other.

  4. In ‘Ruku’ position women only have to bend their back to extent so that their hands can reach their knees, while men have to bend their back so that it become in horizontal position to their legs.

  5. In ‘Sujood’ women have to take a position so that it each part of body is closely packed with each other, you have to bend in such a way so that your abdomen is placed on your thighs, feet and ankles are pointing out to the right direction, while chest portion touching the ground.

  6. While sitting between ‘Sujood’ & in ‘Attahyat’ women sit on floor while placing their feet & ankles pointing towards right direction.
