Halal Cheese

Here you can Find Complete List of companies manufacturing Halal Cheese, this list is created to help the Muslims living in non-Muslim countries so that they can easily purchase the halal food items for your families.

This list of halal cheese includes the names of brands which manufacture halal cheese, but the fact here is that the nature of this industry is very volatile and the status of halal & Haraam can be changed instantly on the basis of the ingredients or the processes involved in manufacturing of the product.

So you should be very attentive while purchasing halal cheese and must see the information of ingredients, Emulsifiers, Flavors, Colors if you find anything suspicious then you can contact to company to get detailed information about its halal or haram status.

You also see the tag of Halal on the product i.e. halal certification monogram on the packing to make the clear choice about the halal and haram product status. The general rule for Halal Cheese is that it must be manufactured by a halal process. See the List of Haraam Cheese From Here

It is not allowed to call something haram without hard proof and investigation. If you don't know about a certain product whether it contains haram ingredient or not, you should call it 'doubtful.' Integrity of Muslim demands that. Otherwise, you bear the responsibility of making halal cheese haram. I don't think you want to do that.

Cabot is a company that openly labels its products halal if no animal byproduct is used. Muslims should celebrate this and commend Cabot for doing that. Here is what they say about their cheese products:

Cabot uses a microbial-based enzyme to manufacture all of our award-winning cheeses with the exception of our Processed American Cheese slices and Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese. The microbial-based enzyme coagulates the milk into curds and whey. It is approved for vegetarians and also allows our cheeses to pass kosher certification. Our Processed American Cheese slices and our and Shredded Mexican Blend Cheese are sourced from plants that Cabot does not own, so we cannot guarantee that they are made with microbial enzymes.

The supermarket own brand cheeses.
Brands: Waitrose, Tesco's, Sainsbury's, Iceland, etc.
Cheese: Cheddar, grated, Parmesan, Camembert, welynsdale, etc
Since most supermarkets in London, U.K. stock own brand can you advise on the haraam and halal available?
The 'V' for vegetarian is not always visible. Certainly not halal certified.
Thank you.

I am with the understanding that Kraft uses Pig Rennet in all their cheeses. Not so?
