Muslim Religion Beliefs in Islam - Islam Beliefs and Practices
Muslim Religion Beliefs: The Religion of Muslim is Islam, Islam has its own beliefs and commands for the mankind. Therefore a Muslim believes in true practices and guidelines of Islam, Islamic beliefs are extracted from Quran and the Sunnah (the way of Prophet Muhammad SAWW).
There are two types of faiths in Islam, definite and indefinite. Definite faiths have been proven from authentic sources of Quran & Sunnah (Sunnah is the source of Islamic law and second after Quran), e.g. belief in one God and Prophet Muhammad SAWW is the last Messenger of Allah. Indefinite faiths are not proven from authentic sources and may have difference of opinions such as ‘arrival of Imam Mahdi’ and ‘Azab - ul" Qabr’.
There are six fundamental Islamic beliefs, also known as pillars of Islamic faith; all of them are proven from authentic source and have clear interpretation. Remember, if any person denies all or any of definite beliefs of Islam, he/she will not be considered as Muslim. The fundamental definite Islamic beliefs are as following.
Belief In the Allah (God)
Islam believes in only one God, the creator of universe, Supreme & Eternal; there is no one but ‘Allah’ to worship.
Belief in the Angels (Mala-eka)
The belief in Angels is the second article of faith in Islam, Allah says, angels are performing many tasks to manage the affairs of universe, taking the life, record our deeds and many other affairs. Angels have also many names like ‘Jibril’, ‘Mikael’, ‘Maalik’,’Harut’ and ‘Marut’ as mentioned in Quran.
Belief in the Prophets
Prophets in Islam are people chosen by Allah to assign a special task to guide the humans. In the verses of Quran, it is very clear that God send messengers to every nation and compulsory to accept in Islam. Muslims have faith that every prophet only worshiped God and preached their followers to believe it also. Muslims believe that Prophet Muhammad SAWW is the last prophet and finally sent to convey the message of the Quran for universe.
Belief in the Books of Allah
In Islam, Muslims believe 'Prophets; Allah has chosen these people, Allah sent books on them to guide people. There are some names written in the verses of Quran i.e. Tourah, Enjeel, Zaboor and Quran. Quran is the final book of Allah SWT and consider the final source of guidance. Quran was revealed on Prophet Muhammad SAWW in 6th century AC.
Belief in Destiny and Divine Decree or fate (Qada wal-Qada)
Muslims believe that everything is in the control of Allah SWT, so nothing will happen without His permission in this universe and out of this world. So fate is in His control, happiness & sorrows are from Him in our lives ,so we are required to be patient on difficulties and thankful on happiness because everything in our life is from Him.
