Doing dua before sleeping is one of the sunnah of aur beloved Prophet Hazrat Muhammad SAWW. And doing dua before sleeping is one of the most important necessities for the one who believe in Allah, and fears Allah for that he/she do not know of waking up after one slept.

Thus taking up both of the reason, Muslims must know dua before sleeping, how to recite dua of sleeping and what or which dua before sleeping is masnoon dua i.e. a proven dua before sleeping from our beloved prophet Hazrat Muhammad Sallallah-o-Alaih-e-Wasallim.

What is proven from Prophet SAWW is when retiring to his bed every night, the Prophet (S) would hold his palms together, spit in them, recite the last three chapters of the Qur’aan and then wipe over his entire body as much as possible with his hands, beginning with his head and face and then all parts of the body, he would do this three times.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAWW) also said:

‘When you are about to sleep recite aayat-ul-kursiyy till the end of the verse for there will remain over you a protection from Allaah and no devil will draw near to you until morning.’
