After slaughtering the animal amongst hajj rituals i.e. the sacrifice, the pilgrims have to perform some more rituals of hajj as the question demands how to do hajj regarding hajj guide.

The pilgrim (Haji) after sacrificing the animal, have to shave his head if male, and have to trim the hair if female i.e. shortens it. As Prophet SAAW says,

“O Allah, have mercy on those who save their heads. They (the people) said ‘And those who shorten their O prophet of Allah.' He SAAW said: O Allah have mercy on those who save their heads. They said: ‘And those who shorten their hair O prophet of Allah' He SAAW added on the fourth time: And those who shorten their hair”

So it is recommended to shave head, but one can also shorten their hair. However, shaving the head in hajj rituals is better as in aforementioned hadith Rasool Allah SAAW allows to shorten the hair but force to shave after slaughtering the animal during hadj i.e. pilgrimage to Mecca.

Moreover, it is Sunnah (the way) of Prophet Muhammad SAAW for the barber to begin with the right side of the head. As in one of the narrations of hadith of Anas, Prophet Muhammad SAAW said so.

However, the rule of shaving the head only applies on males during their hajd to Mecca, as for women, they are not allowed to shave their head, but just have to shorten their head hairs, as Prophet SAAW said,

“There is no shaving of the hair for women; verily upon women is shortening of the hair.”

And women (Female) have to shorten their head by the length of a finger-joint. As In another hadith which is narrated, the Prophet Muhammad SAAW said,

“So she should together her hair and shortens it by the length of a finger-joint.”

That was regarding the rites of Hajj (Manasik Hajj) or the answer regarding how to perform hajj to Mecca related to the day of sacrificing, the animal slaughtering. You cannot do aforementioned most blessed deeds unless you apply for hajj 2014 or hajj 2015 the next one.
