Skype has been featured with various pop-up, sound and visual notifications. You can turn these notifications on/off anytime. These notifications are mostly related to indicate the following events when you’re sign in to your Skype account.

• When anyone get online

• When anyone get offline

• When any Skype contact sends you IM (Instant Message) or file

• When someone sends you friend request

• Sends you voice message

• When someone has birthday from your Skype contacts

Steps to turn notifications off:

1. Sign in to your Skype account with username and password

2. From the Recent list, or Contact list, click on the conversation for which you would like to turn off notifications

3. Navigate to Conversation and then Notification Settings...from the main menu

4. Check Do not notify me and press OK button

5. That’s it!
