How do I Manage Privacy Setting on Skype for Windows Desktop and Mac OS X?

Skype has made Privacy settings user friendly. You can easily change and manage you Skype privacy setting once you sign in to your Skype account. With privacy settings, you can manage who can call you, message you or contact you on Skype. Along with normal conversations, you can also prevent nuisance calls or spam message. Moreover, privacy setting also lets you manage your conversation history block a contact, unblock a contact, etc. Learn how to deal all these tasks with privacy settings in Skype for Windows Desktop and Mac OS X in this article.
 

Change Privacy Setting on Skype for Windows Desktop:

  1. Sign in to Skype account

  2. From menu bar, to open the drop down menu, click Skype

  3. You will see many option, click Privacy.... from them shown in following screenshot


     

  4. Now you will see bundles of options to manage, change whatever you want to change and click Save

  5. That’s it!

 

Change Privacy Setting on Skype for Mac OS X:

  1. Start your Skype and sign in with username and password if you are not already signed in

  2. Go to main menu and click Skype at the top left corner

  3. Click Preferences… and then select Privacy from the drop down menu just like shown below


     

  4. The Privacy panel is displayed as following


     

  5. Now change whatever you want to change in it that’s it!
