Pilgrims from 163 Countries Gathered at the Heart of Islamic Land Mecca for Hajj
From 163 countries, Muslims gathered in Mecca to perform Hajj (Pilgrim) as obligation on them once in life, this year, 2014 also like every year they circulate around the Kaba.
The statistics tells us that most of the pilgrim (haji) in Makkah were from Indonesia, where Pakistan represented as second largest who send Hajis from their land, with the help of private, public and government hajj tour operators according to report from Saudi Government.
Indonesian Muslim seems to have more than any nation having desire to offer the obligation of hajj to Mecca, as it is stated about 173 thousand Indonesian Muslims gathered in Mecca and Medina to perform hajj-e-Akbar on Friday 9th of Zill hajj, dated 4 October 2014.
As for Pakistan, it has send second largest numbers of haji (Pilgrims) stated more or less 147 thousand (147,582) to perform pilgrimage to mecca as hajj Akbar (Grand Hajj) due to its occurrence on Friday 2014. However, Jabil-e-Tariq, Guam, Haiti, Aruba, Central Africa and Macao represented only one each pilgrims to haj.
However, India was at third with 140,819, then Bangladesh with 99,389, Nigeria with 76,712, Egypt with 72,622, Turkey with 71,575, Iran with 64,534, Iraq with 38,499 and Morocco at 10th position respectively represented 34 thousand 1 hundred and 62 (34,162). These were the top ten pilgrim sender courtiers out of 163 countries who send their hujjaj directly or indirectly to Mecca for Hajj.
With the help of thousands of tour operator, and hajj traveling agencies, remaining 153 countries also contributed well in numbers to fulfill this holy task and ritual. No cases of the deadly MERS or Ebola viruses have been recorded among the pilgrims, the Saudi health minister said in a press conference on Monday. Congratulation!
