Islam Beliefs by Editorial Staff (November 27, 05:52 AM)

There are six major beliefs of Islam on which the whole building of Islam is made, these articles of faith includes believing in oneness of Allah, Believing on angels, Believing on all Prophets, Having faith on all Revealed Books, Believing on The Day of Judgment and believing on divine fate and destiny set by Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala. The person who denies any of the mentioned major belief is considered as disbeliever or non-Muslim.

Muslims must have faith in these major beliefs of islam, otherwise he/she will not be called as Muslim or a person who submit to the will of Allah SWT.

These Islamic beliefs are proven from the oral expression of Amantu is as follows,

"I believe in Allah, in His angels, in His books, in His messengers, in the Last Day (Day of Judgment) and in the fact that everything good or bad is decided by Allah, the Almighty, and in the Life after Death."

From the statement of Amantu we can derive seven or most commonly six pillars of Islamic faith given as below,

  1. Allah

  2. Angels of Allah (Mala’ikah)

  3. Books of Allah (Kutubullah)

  4. Messengers of Allah (Rusulullah)

  5. The Day of Judgement (Yawmuddin)

  6. Pre-destination or Supremacy of Divine Will (Al-Qadr)

Some say these are seven as they do not differentiate between the Day of Judgment and life after death. However, in both ways it conveys the same meaning and the same understanding.
