Islam's Arguments Based on Intellectual Reasoning

Islam Beliefs by Editorial Staff (August 23, 02:26 AM)

The only thing distinguishes mankind from other creatures is an intellectual reasoning ability. Human can analyze, judge, decide, plane and differentiate using the ability he/she has called reasoning. Therefore human can only pas a correct judgment using its intellect and reasoning ability.

Despite from other religions, Islam calls towards it by giving arguments based on intellectual reasoning, which is however an appealing factor. Islam doesn’t argue just on emotional arguments and sensations, but it invites its listeners to use the intellect to judge Islam whether true or false. This factor makes Islam different from other religions and an appealing one to the one who uses reasoning and intellect.

For example, while inviting people to believe there is a creator of all things, Islam just not say to believe on it, but invites people to use their intellect, and use the sensations how everything is created with organization. In the Quran Allah SWT says,

“Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?”
(Quran Surah 52. Ath Thuur ayat 35)

And in another verse of Quran Allah says,

“O mankind! A similitude has been coined, so listen to it (carefully): Verily! Those on whom You call besides Allâh, cannot create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly snatched away a thing from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought”
(Quran Surah 22. Al Hajj ayat 73)

In both of aforementioned ayahs of Quran, you can see how Allah teaching mankind to use his intellect, logic and reasoning abilities. How Allah Subhana Wa Ta’ala giving arguments based on intellectual reasoning about the creation of universe and everything within and without it is created by Allah the creator.

This is why, Islam is attractive to mankind, and this is why Islam is fastest growing religion on earth appealing to human intellect.
